Tile companies in Linyi urgently halt production for 24 days

On 19th May, the ceramic companies of Linyi production base received the notice issued by the government agency, which required them to take off-peak production urgently. The detailed requirement are as followed: the companies with 1 production line should close the line; the companies with 2 production lines should close 1 line; the companies with 3 or 4 production lines should close 2 lines. The period will last 24 days.

According to the companies from Luozhong and Gaoxin district of the base, from 20th May, all the companies have entered a stage of halting production. 

It has been revealed that, the situation relates to the opening of 18th summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization. As we all know, in Qingdao, a coastal city in east China's Shandong Province, will host the 18th summit of Shanghai Cooperation Organization on 9th June. In order to prepare for the summit, Qingdao government has made a special plan for improving the air quality. 

The plan requires that, the related industrial companies should halt their production from 26th May to 12th July. The area ranges from four districts to one municipal city in Qingdao. It has been divided into three different areas according to the distance within 50-mile and 100-mile and 300-mile radius of central stadium. The three different area are core area, strict control area and control ares respectively. In the core area and strict control area, all the construction should stop, while in the control area, the work and transportation of waste muck and some other materials should stop production on schedule. 

Linyi city is 280 miles away form Qingdao city. So, it lies in the control area. Since 20th May, the ceramic companies in Linyi will take off-peak production for 24 days so as to ensure the air quality of Qingdao.
