Happy New Year, everyone! Welcome to CTW news channel. This is the first episode of our programme in 2021. In the last programme we talked about the Jiangxi production region. Today we are going to talk about some of the major events that have taken place in Guangdong production region. 


Monalisa Tiles 

On December 27, 2020, two sintered slab production lines of Monalisa Tiles were launched in Xiqiao production base in Foshan. Meanwhile, on January 3, 2021, the company announced the plan to acquire and increase capital to hold 70% share of the subsidiary company of Jiangxi Pujing Ceramics. According to information,Pujing Ceramics has 9 production lines with an annual capacity of 40 million square meters.


Hongyu Ceramics

Hongyu’s sintered slab production line in Qingyuan base was put into operation. With a daily capacity of 6600m², it mainly produces sintered slabs with the size of 1600×3200×9 (mm) and thicknesses of 6-18 (mm). Another sintered slab production line is also about to launch.

 

Kito Ceramics

On December 15, Kito Ceramics announced that it will build an industrial park in Chancheng, Foshan in five years to develop and produce new materials such as sintered slabs and foamed ceramics. The total investment is 1 billion yuan, and the construction area exceeds 110,000 square meters.


Newpearl Group

On December 10, 2020, Newpearl Group’s sintered slab production line with super-width kiln was launched. It is the first sintered slab production line equipped with a 3300 mm inner width kiln in Chinese ceramic industry. It is capable of firing slabs with a width of 2700 mm.

 

Dongpeng Ceramics

On December 1, 2020, four companies, Dongpeng, Goldmedal, New Jincheng, and Shenghua launched their sintered slab production lines which are equipped with double-layer kilns on the same day, and they are able to produce various large sintered slabs with thicknesses from 5.5 to 15 mm.


Keda 

On December 28, 2020, a grand opening ceremony of Keda’s new headquarters building was held in Foshan. Over 100 big names in Chinese ceramic industry attended the ceremony, such as Newpearl Group, Wonderful Group, Hongyu Ceramics, Monalisa Tiles, Xinzhongyuan Ceramics,etc,. On January 4, 2021, Keda announced to acquire 40% shares of Welko, a leading ceramic equipment company in Italy, at a price of 11.2 million euros, marking that Keda  completed the acquisition of 100% of the shares of Welko.
